Both our Youth and Training Division classes require a code in order to register to assure proper level placement.  Please note that obtaining a registration code does not guarantee a position in our classes.  Our Primary and Open Ballet classes do not require a code to register.  All age requirements are based on the dancer's age as of August 31, 2024.  PLEASE Review Coastline Ballet Center's Tuition & Registration Policies

Primary Division (AGES 3-6)

Primary Level placement is based solely on age as of August 31, 2024.  Curriculum is tailored to support children's developmental skills and introduce basic concepts of movement and music . Classes cultivate imagination, motor movement skills, and musicality. Students explore patterns, rhythm, and formations while developing balance and spatial awareness. All levels meet once a week for one hour.

Youth Division (AGES 7-12)

Youth Division placement takes into consideration both age as well as ability.  All students must be placed into levels prior to starting classes to ensure each dancer's physical well being. The curriculum at the youth division is designed to build the fundamentals of ballet technique while developing artistic foundations.  Focus is placed on developing strength and proper form. Students build awareness and begin to develop coordination with simple jumps, turns, and movements across the floor. Students may explore other dance styles as elective classes.  The pace of the curriculum supports the students safety and level of comprehension. Training hours and classes per week increase as students interest and abilities grow.

Training Division (AGES 11-18)

Training Division placement is achieved when students have demonstrated appropriate physical strength as well as mastery of basic ballet technique and vocabulary.  All students must be reviewed and placed into levels prior to starting classes to ensure their ability to safely progress through class material.  The curriculum at the training division is designed to advance ballet technique with emphasis towards musicality and refinement of movement.  Pointe work is introduced as well other styles such as modern and character dance.  Training hours and classes per week increase to  develop strength, flexibility, precision, and complex combinations of steps.  More focus is placed on performance and the development of artistic expression through movement.  A registration code is required for all levels in the Training Division. Tuition & Registration Policies

Open Ballet Division

Open Ballet classes are available to aNYONE, OF all ability levels ages 15 and up.   aND ALSO TO CBC students currently enrolled in Levels 7-9, or dancers under 15 with approved prior experience. oUR aDULT WORKSHOPS ARE GREAT FOR THOSE LOOKING TO GET BACK INTO THE STUDIO OR INTRODUCED TO DANCE. classes are designed to support a range of experience and are an excellent way to build core strength, balance, alignment, and flexibility. Curriculum will develop technique and build upon the basic fundamentals of ballet.  Open classes allow dancers the flexibility to register for one or more classes per week to fit their schedule.  For our level 7-9 students, open classes CAN offer a great way for dancers to get additional time in the studio.  prior registration for the entire session is required and classes must have a minimum of 4 students enrolled IN ORDER TO RUN. Tuition & Registration Policies
